Independent Work & Holiday visa (subclass 462) cap alerts

Get alerted when your Work and Holiday visa cap reopens

First Work and Holiday visa places can be very limited. Some countries have only a few hundred annual places, and demand can move much faster than the official status page feels.

When a country is PAUSED, applications are temporarily not open for that country. If it changes back to OPEN, you may need to move quickly before other applicants get ahead of you.

VisaCapAlert.com monitors your selected country cap and emails you when we detect that its status has changed from PAUSED, helping you act sooner without refreshing the page all the time.

  • We monitor your selected country's cap status
  • Get an email alert when your country reopens
  • Know sooner, so you can apply without delay

How it works

1

Choose your country

Select the country whose cap you're waiting on.

2

Create your alert

With Premium monitoring we check every single minute — choose to pay once, or monthly. Both give you the same service. Just enter your email to start.

3

Get notified and act quickly

When we detect your country has reopened, we notify you by email — plus an instant WhatsApp message if you’re on Premium — so you can act quickly before places fill.

How often we check the cap:⚡ Every minute — 1,440 checks per day

We monitor the official Home Affairs country-cap status page. That government page can be delayed by up to 48 hours, so alerts reflect when a status change is published — not necessarily when the underlying decision was made.

Live cap status by country

This table updates twice a day.
Premium monitoring checks every minute and alerts you straight away.

Loading current statuses…

Statuses reflect the official Home Affairs page, which can be delayed by up to 48 hours. Statuses can change without notice.

Each of these countries has its own page with its current cap status, its annual grant cap and local-currency pricing.

Why we built VisaCapAlert

We’re a Brazilian couple who moved to Australia more than 10 years ago. When friends and family began waiting for their country’s Work and Holiday visa cap to reopen, we saw how frustrating it was to keep checking the government website and worrying about missing an update.

Combining our backgrounds in software engineering and business administration, we created VisaCapAlert to monitor published cap status changes and notify people promptly when their selected country’s status changes.

VisaCapAlert is an independent Australian service. We do not provide migration advice or submit visa applications.

VisaCapAlert.com is operated by WONDRATECH PTY LTD under the registered business name Status Alert Technologies. Australian Business Number: 51 633 863 966.

Choose how you pay for Premium monitoring

Both options include every-minute checks, email alerts and optional WhatsApp notifications.
The difference is only the payment structure.

Frequently asked questions

Is VisaCapAlert.com official?

VisaCapAlert.com is an independent notification service. We help users stay informed about visa cap status changes, but we are not affiliated with the Australian Government or the Department of Home Affairs.

Is VisaCapAlert an Australian business?

Yes. VisaCapAlert.com is operated in Australia by WONDRATECH PTY LTD under the registered business name Status Alert Technologies. Our Australian Business Number is 51 633 863 966, which you can verify through the Australian Government’s ABN Lookup service.

Do you provide migration services?

We provide status alerts only. We don’t sell migration services, make sales calls or submit visa applications.

Where does the status information come from?

We monitor the official Home Affairs country-cap status page. That government page can be delayed by up to 48 hours, so alerts reflect when a status change is published, not necessarily when the underlying decision was made.

Does this submit my visa application?

VisaCapAlert.com focuses on monitoring and notifications only. When we detect a relevant status change for your selected country, we send an alert to the email address you provided — and, on Premium, to WhatsApp if you opted in. You remain responsible for checking your eligibility and submitting any visa application yourself.

Does this guarantee I will get a visa spot?

Spots are limited and first come, first served, and we can’t hold or reserve one for you. What we do is alert you when your country reopens according to the official Home Affairs page, so you can lodge as quickly as possible. Visa availability, eligibility, application outcomes, and approvals are controlled by the official visa process.

Why do I need an alert if I can just check the page myself?

You can watch the official Home Affairs page yourself. But caps are small and first come, first served, so when a paused country reopens the remaining spots can be gone quickly. An alert means you hear about the status page change promptly and can focus on lodging your application, rather than keeping an eye on the status page yourself.

Do you still offer a free option?

Free alerts are no longer available for new registrations. Existing Free alerts remain active under their current conditions until 30 June 2027 AEST, with no payment required.

New users can choose Premium monitoring with either a one-time payment or a monthly payment option. Both Premium options include every-minute checks, email alerts and optional WhatsApp notifications.

I already have a Free alert. Is it still active?

Yes. Existing Free alerts remain active under their existing conditions until 30 June 2027 AEST. Free alerts are no longer available for new registrations.

How will I be notified?

By email. We check the official status page every minute, so we can alert you within minutes of a change being published. We can also alert you on WhatsApp if you add and verify a phone number after payment.

What happens after I sign up?

You confirm your email with a code and complete payment — a one-time $7 AUD, or the monthly option — and then your alert is active. After payment you can also add a phone number to be notified by WhatsApp if you wish. We then watch your selected country’s cap and notify you when its status changes from paused, so you can lodge without delay.

How do the two payment options differ?

Only in how you pay — the service is identical. One-time is a single $7 AUD payment with no recurring charges. Monthly is A$1 for the first month, then A$4 monthly for two more months; no more than three payments.

Both options include every-minute checks, email alerts and optional WhatsApp notifications, and both stay active until 30 June 2027 AEST. On the monthly option, Premium monitoring remains active until 30 June 2027 after all scheduled payments are completed.

You can cancel the monthly option anytime by emailing support@visacapalert.com; no future payments are processed after cancellation, months already charged aren’t refunded, and monitoring stops at that point. If a monthly payment fails, you have 7 days to update your card before the alert is cancelled.

On 1 July AEST, visa cap statuses reset, so you’ll need to register again if you want to keep tracking a country in the new cap period.

Can I monitor more than one country?

Yes. Each alert is created for one selected country. To monitor another country, simply create a separate alert for that country.

What if the country never reopens?

A paused cap may reopen later in the same program year, but this isn’t guaranteed, and it can also close. Your alert stays active for your selected country during the current period, and we email you if and when its status changes. The timing of any reopening is controlled by the official visa cap process.

Can I get a refund?

Our every-minute monitoring kicks in the moment you pay, so refunds generally aren’t available once it’s live. If you chose the monthly option, months you’ve already been charged for aren’t refunded, but you can cancel anytime by emailing support to stop any future payments. If something went wrong with your payment or setup, just reach out to support and we’ll happily take a look.
