Independent Work & Holiday visa (subclass 462) cap alerts
Singapore Work and Holiday visa cap alerts
Australia sets an annual limit on first Work and Holiday (subclass 462) visa grants to Singaporean passport holders. While the published status is paused, new applications from Singapore are not available.
A paused cap can return to open later in the same program year. No date is published for that, so the change in status is the only notice anyone gets.
VisaCapAlert checks Singapore's published cap status every minute and emails you when we detect it.

- Add an optional WhatsApp notification after payment
- Know sooner, without repeatedly checking the official status page yourself

How the Singapore alert works
Create your Singapore alert
Enter your email address and confirm it with the code we send you. Singapore is already selected as the country to monitor.
Choose how you pay
Pick the one-time payment or the monthly payment option. Both buy exactly the same Premium monitoring and notifications β only the payment structure differs.
Get notified and act promptly
VisaCapAlert checks Singapore's published cap status every minute β up to 1,440 checks a day. When the status changes we email you, and after payment you can add and verify a phone number for an optional WhatsApp notification.
We monitor the official Home Affairs country-cap status page. That government page can be delayed by up to 48 hours, so alerts reflect when a status change is published β not necessarily when the underlying decision was made.
You remain responsible for checking the official requirements, confirming your own eligibility, and lodging your application through the official Australian Government process.

Status information comes from the official Department of Home Affairs country-cap status page. That government page can take up to 48 hours to reflect a change, so our alerts tell you when a status change is published β not necessarily when the underlying decision was made. We have no privileged access to government information about Singapore. View the official Home Affairs cap-status page.

Understanding Singapore's Work and Holiday visa cap
The annual cap applies to first Work and Holiday subclass 462 visas granted to Singaporean passport holders. Second and third Work and Holiday visas fall outside it.
A PAUSED status means new applications from Singaporean passport holders are temporarily unavailable β a management state rather than a final one.
A paused cap may return to OPEN within the same program year; a CLOSED cap waits for the 1 July reset.
VisaCapAlert does not set or anticipate the status. We monitor what Home Affairs publishes and report changes we detect.
Why create a Singapore cap alert?
Singapore runs two hours behind eastern Australia, so a status change published mid-afternoon in Canberra appears on the page during your own workday β which is precisely when you are least likely to be checking a government website.
VisaCapAlert checks Singapore's published status every minute and emails you when we detect a change, with optional WhatsApp after payment for something harder to miss.
An alert does not reserve a place, lodge an application, or affect the outcome. It is prompt notice of a published change.
- VisaCapAlert does not reserve or hold a visa place.
- VisaCapAlert does not submit your application.
- VisaCapAlert does not assess your eligibility.
- VisaCapAlert does not provide migration advice.
- VisaCapAlert does not guarantee a visa outcome.

Singapore cap alerts β frequently asked questions
Singapore has an annual limit on the number of first Work and Holiday (subclass 462) visas Australia may grant to Singaporean passport holders. The current published figure is shown in the cap status panel on this page, taken directly from the official Department of Home Affairs country-cap page so it stays correct if the official figure changes.
PAUSED means new applications from Singaporean passport holders are temporarily unavailable. A paused cap may return to OPEN later in the same program year, though that is not guaranteed. We monitor the published status and notify you when we detect that it has changed.
We check Singapore's published cap status every minute and email your confirmed address as soon as we detect that the status has changed. After payment you can also add and verify a phone number for an optional WhatsApp message. What we cannot do is tell you in advance whether or when Singapore will reopen β that is decided by the official process and we learn of it when it is published.
A CLOSED status means the cap will not reopen during the current program year. If Singapore changes to CLOSED while your alert is active, we notify you of that status change too β knowing where you stand is the point of the alert. Cap statuses reset for the new program year on 1 July.
That is a real possibility and we will not pretend otherwise: a paused cap may stay paused, or close. Your alert stays active for the monitoring period you paid for and notifies you if and when the published status changes. Because monitoring begins the moment you pay, the payment is not refundable on the basis that the status never changed β if you are unsure, that is worth weighing before you buy.
Yes. The Singapore alert is priced in Singapore dollars and charged by card. The amount shown on the page is exactly what you are charged; if your account is held in another currency, your card provider handles the conversion.
Neither. VisaCapAlert.com is an independent Australian notification service operated by WONDRATECH PTY LTD. We are not affiliated with the Australian Government, the Department of Home Affairs, or any Singaporean authority, and we do not act as a migration agent.
Cap statuses reset for the new program year on 1 July, and alerts run to 30 June AEST. If you still want to monitor Singapore in the new period, create a fresh alert after the reset β your old one is not renewed automatically, and you are not charged again without doing so.
Premium monitoring for this country is S$4 as a single one-time payment, or S$1.80 each month. Both cover the same service and run until 30 June 2027 AEST, and the amount is confirmed before you pay.
You confirm your email with a code and complete payment β a one-time S$4, or the monthly option at S$1.80 a month β and your alert is active straight away. After payment you can also add a phone number to be notified by WhatsApp. We then watch your selected country's cap and notify you when its published status changes.
Only in how you pay β the service is identical. One-time is a single S$4 payment with no recurring charges β S$12.20 off the S$16.20 full price. Monthly is S$1.80/mo while the alert is active, ending automatically on 30 June 2027 AEST.
Both options include every-minute checks, email alerts and optional WhatsApp notifications, and both stay active until 30 June 2027 AEST.
You can cancel the monthly option anytime at visacapalert.com/cancel-subscription/; no future payments are processed after cancellation, months already charged aren't refunded, and monitoring stops at that point. If a monthly payment fails, you have 7 days to update your card before the alert is cancelled.
On 1 July AEST, visa cap statuses reset, so you'll need to register again to keep tracking a country in the new cap period.
