Independent Work & Holiday visa (subclass 462) cap alerts
Türkiye Work and Holiday visa cap alerts
Australia caps the number of first Work and Holiday (subclass 462) visas it may grant to Turkish passport holders in each program year. Türkiye holds one of the smaller annual allocations, and its published status can change without notice.
A PAUSED status means new first Work and Holiday applications from Turkish passport holders are temporarily unavailable. The cap can return to OPEN later in the same program year, with no reopening date published in advance.
VisaCapAlert checks Türkiye’s published cap status every minute and emails you the moment we detect that it has changed.

How the Türkiye alert works
Create your Türkiye alert
Enter your email address and confirm it with the code we send you. Türkiye is already selected as the country to monitor.
Choose how you pay
Pick the one-time payment or the monthly payment option. Both buy exactly the same Premium monitoring and notifications — only the payment structure differs.
Get notified and act promptly
VisaCapAlert checks Türkiye's published cap status every minute — up to 1,440 checks a day. When the status changes we email you, and after payment you can add and verify a phone number for an optional WhatsApp notification.
We monitor the official Home Affairs country-cap status page. That government page can be delayed by up to 48 hours, so alerts reflect when a status change is published — not necessarily when the underlying decision was made.
You remain responsible for checking the official requirements, confirming your own eligibility, and lodging your application through the official Australian Government process.

Status information comes from the official Department of Home Affairs country-cap status page. That government page can take up to 48 hours to reflect a change, so our alerts tell you when a status change is published — not necessarily when the underlying decision was made. We have no privileged access to government information about Türkiye. View the official Home Affairs cap-status page.

Understanding Türkiye's Work and Holiday visa cap
Australia applies an annual cap to the number of first Work and Holiday (subclass 462) visas that may be granted to Turkish passport holders. Second and third Work and Holiday visas are not counted against the first-visa cap in the same way.
A PAUSED status means new first Work and Holiday applications from Turkish passport holders are temporarily unavailable. A pause may be used to manage application volumes, or as the country approaches its annual limit.
A paused cap can return to OPEN later in the same program year. A CLOSED cap will not reopen during that program year, and statuses reset for the new program year on 1 July.
VisaCapAlert does not control when Türkiye opens, pauses or closes. We monitor the published status and tell you when we detect that it has changed.
Why create a Türkiye cap alert?
Türkiye runs seven to eight hours behind eastern Australia, so a change published during the Australian working day usually appears overnight or early in the Turkish morning.
The official page carries no reopening schedule, which makes checking it yourself an open-ended commitment rather than a task you can finish.
VisaCapAlert watches the published status every minute and emails you when we detect a change. After payment you can also add and verify a phone number for an optional WhatsApp message.
An alert does not reserve a place, lodge an application, assess your eligibility or promise a visa outcome. It means you hear about a published change promptly rather than discovering it weeks later.
- VisaCapAlert does not reserve or hold a visa place.
- VisaCapAlert does not submit your application.
- VisaCapAlert does not assess your eligibility.
- VisaCapAlert does not provide migration advice.
- VisaCapAlert does not guarantee a visa outcome.

Türkiye cap alerts — frequently asked questions
Türkiye has an annual limit on the number of first Work and Holiday (subclass 462) visas Australia may grant to Turkish passport holders. The current published figure is shown in the cap status panel on this page, taken directly from the official Department of Home Affairs country-cap page so it stays correct if the official figure changes.
PAUSED means new applications from Turkish passport holders are temporarily unavailable. A paused cap may return to OPEN later in the same program year, though that is not guaranteed. We monitor the published status and notify you when we detect that it has changed.
We check Türkiye's published cap status every minute and email your confirmed address as soon as we detect that the status has changed. After payment you can also add and verify a phone number for an optional WhatsApp message. What we cannot do is tell you in advance whether or when Türkiye will reopen — that is decided by the official process and we learn of it when it is published.
A CLOSED status means the cap will not reopen during the current program year. If Türkiye changes to CLOSED while your alert is active, we notify you of that status change too — knowing where you stand is the point of the alert. Cap statuses reset for the new program year on 1 July.
That is a real possibility and we will not pretend otherwise: a paused cap may stay paused, or close. Your alert stays active for the monitoring period you paid for and notifies you if and when the published status changes. Because monitoring begins the moment you pay, the payment is not refundable on the basis that the status never changed — if you are unsure, that is worth weighing before you buy.
Yes. The alert is priced in Turkish lira, and Australian dollars are offered as a second option before you pay. Whichever you choose, the exact amount is confirmed on screen before any payment is taken.
Yes. Türkiye is the name the Department of Home Affairs publishes on its country-cap page, and it is the name we use throughout this site. If you searched for Turkey, this is the same country and the same cap.
Yes. The alert is an email, sent to the address you confirm at signup, so it reaches you anywhere you can read email. After payment you can also add a phone number for an optional WhatsApp message.
Premium monitoring for this country is ₺153 as a single one-time payment, or ₺68 each month. Both cover the same service and run until 30 June 2027 AEST, and the amount is confirmed before you pay.
You confirm your email with a code and complete payment — a one-time ₺153, or the monthly option at ₺68 a month — and your alert is active straight away. After payment you can also add a phone number to be notified by WhatsApp. We then watch your selected country's cap and notify you when its published status changes.
Only in how you pay — the service is identical. One-time is a single ₺153 payment with no recurring charges — ₺459 off the ₺612 full price. Monthly is ₺68/mo while the alert is active, ending automatically on 30 June 2027 AEST.
Both options include every-minute checks, email alerts and optional WhatsApp notifications, and both stay active until 30 June 2027 AEST.
You can cancel the monthly option anytime at visacapalert.com/cancel-subscription/; no future payments are processed after cancellation, months already charged aren't refunded, and monitoring stops at that point. If a monthly payment fails, you have 7 days to update your card before the alert is cancelled.
On 1 July AEST, visa cap statuses reset, so you'll need to register again to keep tracking a country in the new cap period.
