Independent Work & Holiday visa (subclass 462) cap alerts

Slovenia Work and Holiday visa cap alerts

Australia grants a limited number of first Work and Holiday (subclass 462) visas to Slovenian passport holders each program year. Slovenia has one of the smaller annual allocations in the capped program.

When Slovenia is PAUSED, new first Work and Holiday applications from Slovenian passport holders are temporarily unavailable. The published status can later return to OPEN during the same program year, without an advance date being announced.

VisaCapAlert checks Slovenia's published cap status every minute and emails you as soon as we detect a change.

  • We check Slovenia's published cap status every minute
  • Get an email alert when we detect that Slovenia has changed

1

Create your Slovenia alert

Enter your email address and confirm it with the code we send you. Slovenia is already selected as the country to monitor.

2

Choose how you pay

Pick the one-time payment or the monthly payment option. Both buy exactly the same Premium monitoring and notifications — only the payment structure differs.

3

Get notified and act promptly

VisaCapAlert checks Slovenia's published cap status every minute — up to 1,440 checks a day. When the status changes we email you, and after payment you can add and verify a phone number for an optional WhatsApp notification.

We monitor the official Home Affairs country-cap status page. That government page can be delayed by up to 48 hours, so alerts reflect when a status change is published — not necessarily when the underlying decision was made.

You remain responsible for checking the official requirements, confirming your own eligibility, and lodging your application through the official Australian Government process.

Status information comes from the official Department of Home Affairs country-cap status page. That government page can take up to 48 hours to reflect a change, so our alerts tell you when a status change is published — not necessarily when the underlying decision was made. Understanding Slovenia's Work and Holiday visa cap

Australia applies an annual cap to the number of first Work and Holiday (subclass 462) visas that may be granted to Slovenian passport holders. Second and third Work and Holiday visas are not counted against the first-visa cap in the same way.

A PAUSED status means new first Work and Holiday applications from Slovenian passport holders are temporarily unavailable.

A paused cap can later return to OPEN during the same program year. A CLOSED cap will not reopen during that program year and waits for the new program-year reset.

VisaCapAlert does not control when Slovenia opens, pauses or closes. We monitor the published status and notify you when we detect a change.

Why create a Slovenia cap alert?

Slovenia’s small annual allocation makes manual, occasional checking a weak way to stay informed. There are comparatively few first-visa places across the whole program year.

A status change can also be published during Australian hours while Slovenia is several hours behind.

VisaCapAlert checks Slovenia’s published status every minute and notifies you when we detect a change, so you do not need to repeatedly check the Home Affairs page.

An alert does not reserve a place, submit an application, assess eligibility or guarantee a visa outcome.

  • VisaCapAlert does not reserve or hold a visa place.
  • VisaCapAlert does not submit your application.
  • VisaCapAlert does not assess your eligibility.
  • VisaCapAlert does not provide migration advice.
  • VisaCapAlert does not guarantee a visa outcome.

Slovenia cap alerts — frequently asked questions

What is Slovenia's annual Work and Holiday visa cap?

Slovenia has an annual limit on the number of first Work and Holiday (subclass 462) visas Australia may grant to Slovenian passport holders. The current published figure is shown in the cap status panel on this page, taken directly from the official Department of Home Affairs country-cap page so it stays correct if the official figure changes.

What does PAUSED mean for Slovenian applicants?

PAUSED means new applications from Slovenian passport holders are temporarily unavailable. A paused cap may return to OPEN later in the same program year, though that is not guaranteed. We monitor the published status and notify you when we detect that it has changed.

Will VisaCapAlert notify me when Slovenia reopens?

We check Slovenia's published cap status every minute and email your confirmed address as soon as we detect that the status has changed. After payment you can also add and verify a phone number for an optional WhatsApp message. What we cannot do is tell you in advance whether or when Slovenia will reopen — that is decided by the official process and we learn of it when it is published.

What happens if Slovenia changes to CLOSED?

A CLOSED status means the cap will not reopen during the current program year. If Slovenia changes to CLOSED while your alert is active, we notify you of that status change too — knowing where you stand is the point of the alert. Cap statuses reset for the new program year on 1 July.

What if Slovenia does not reopen at all?

That is a real possibility and we will not pretend otherwise: a paused cap may stay paused, or close. Your alert stays active for the monitoring period you paid for and notifies you if and when the published status changes. Because monitoring begins the moment you pay, the payment is not refundable on the basis that the status never changed — if you are unsure, that is worth weighing before you buy.

Why is Slovenia’s cap considered small?

Home Affairs publishes a relatively small annual first Work and Holiday grant cap for Slovenia compared with many other partner countries. VisaCapAlert does not predict how quickly that cap will be used; we monitor the published status.

Can I pay for the Slovenia alert in euros?

Yes. Slovenia uses the standard EU pricing shown on the page.

Does Slovenia have a separate status from other EU countries?

Yes. Slovenia is listed separately on the Home Affairs cap-status page and VisaCapAlert monitors Slovenia’s published status independently.

How much does it cost?

Premium monitoring for this country is €4.50 as a single one-time payment, or €2.00 each month. Both cover the same service and run until 30 June 2027 AEST, and the amount is confirmed before you pay.

What happens after I sign up?

You confirm your email with a code and complete payment — a one-time €4.50, or the monthly option at €2.00 a month — and your alert is active straight away. After payment you can also add a phone number to be notified by WhatsApp. We then watch your selected country's cap and notify you when its published status changes.

How do the two payment options differ?

Only in how you pay — the service is identical. One-time is a single €4.50 payment with no recurring charges — €13.50 off the €18.00 full price. Monthly is €2.00/mo while the alert is active, ending automatically on 30 June 2027 AEST.

Both options include every-minute checks, email alerts and optional WhatsApp notifications, and both stay active until 30 June 2027 AEST.

You can cancel the monthly option anytime at visacapalert.com/cancel-subscription/; no future payments are processed after cancellation, months already charged aren't refunded, and monitoring stops at that point. If a monthly payment fails, you have 7 days to update your card before the alert is cancelled.

On 1 July AEST, visa cap statuses reset, so you'll need to register again to keep tracking a country in the new cap period.
