Understanding Brazil's Work and Holiday visa cap
Australia applies an annual cap to the number of first Work and Holiday subclass 462 visas that may be granted to Brazilian passport holders. The cap applies to first Work and Holiday visas — second and third Work and Holiday visas are not counted against it in the same way.
A PAUSED status means new applications from Brazilian passport holders are temporarily unavailable. A pause may be used to manage application volumes, or as the country approaches its annual cap.
A paused cap may return to OPEN later in the same program year. A CLOSED cap will not reopen during that program year. Caps are reset for the new program year on 1 July.

The current published figure is shown in the cap status panel on this page, taken directly from the official Department of Home Affairs country-cap page so it stays correct if the official figure changes.

What we cannot do is tell you in advance whether or when Brazil will reopen — that is decided by the official process and we learn of it when it is published.
A CLOSED status means the cap will not reopen during the current program year. If Brazil changes to CLOSED while your alert is active, we notify you of that status change too — knowing where you stand is the point of the alert. Cap statuses reset for the new program year on 1 July.
That is a real possibility and we will not pretend otherwise: a paused cap may stay paused, or close. Your alert stays active for the monitoring period you paid for and notifies you if and when the published status changes. Because monitoring begins the moment you pay, the payment is not refundable on the basis that the status never changed — if you are unsure, that is worth weighing before you buy.

Yes. Each alert is created for one selected country. To monitor another country, simply create a separate alert for that country.
A paused cap may reopen later in the same program year, but this isn’t guaranteed, and it can also close. Your alert stays active for your selected country during the current period, and we email you if and when its status changes. The timing of any reopening is controlled by the official visa cap process.
Our every-minute monitoring kicks in the moment you pay, so refunds generally aren’t available once it’s live. If you chose the monthly option, months you’ve already been charged for aren’t refunded, but you can cancel anytime by emailing support to stop any future payments.
