Independent Work & Holiday visa (subclass 462) cap alerts

Mongolia Work and Holiday visa cap alerts

Australia grants a limited number of first Work and Holiday (subclass 462) visas to Mongolian passport holders each program year. Mongolia has one of the smaller allocations in the program.

While the published status is paused, new applications from Mongolian passport holders are not available. The status can change later in the same program year, with no advance notice.

VisaCapAlert checks Mongolia's published cap status every minute and emails you as soon as we detect a change.

  • We check Mongolia's published cap status every minute
  • Get an email alert when we detect that Mongolia has changed
  • Add an optional WhatsApp notification after payment

How the Mongolia alert works

1

Create your Mongolia alert

Enter your email address and confirm it with the code we send you. Mongolia is already selected as the country to monitor.

2

Choose how you pay

Pick the one-time payment or the monthly payment option. Both buy exactly the same Premium monitoring and notifications — only the payment structure differs.

3

We check every minute

VisaCapAlert checks Mongolia's published cap status every minute — up to 1,440 checks a day.

4

Get notified and act promptly

When we detect that Mongolia's published status has changed, we email you. After payment you can also add and verify a phone number for an optional WhatsApp notification. You remain responsible for checking the official requirements, confirming your own eligibility, and lodging your application through the official Australian Government process.

How often we check Mongolia's cap:⚡ Every minute — 1,440 checks per day

We monitor the official Home Affairs country-cap status page. That government page can be delayed by up to 48 hours, so alerts reflect when a status change is published — not necessarily when the underlying decision was made.

Status information comes from the official Department of Home Affairs country-cap status page. That government page can take up to 48 hours to reflect a change, so our alerts tell you when a status change is published — not necessarily when the underlying decision was made. We have no privileged access to government information about Mongolia. View the official Home Affairs cap-status page.

Understanding Mongolia's Work and Holiday visa cap

The annual cap limits first Work and Holiday subclass 462 visa grants to Mongolian passport holders. It applies to first Work and Holiday visas only.

A PAUSED status means new applications from Mongolian passport holders are temporarily unavailable. Where the official page carries an additional note against Mongolia, read it on the Home Affairs page itself — we link to it rather than restating it.

A paused cap may change to OPEN in the same program year. A CLOSED cap will not, and waits for the 1 July reset.

VisaCapAlert monitors the published status. We do not set it, predict it, or see it early.

Why create a Mongolia cap alert?

A small allocation concentrates the consequences of noticing late. There is no queue and no ticket — the published status is simply open or it is not.

VisaCapAlert checks Mongolia's published status every minute and notifies you when we detect a change, so you are not relying on remembering to look.

What an alert cannot do is reserve a place, lodge an application, or improve your chances. It is notification only.

  • VisaCapAlert does not reserve or hold a visa place.
  • VisaCapAlert does not submit your application.
  • VisaCapAlert does not assess your eligibility.
  • VisaCapAlert does not provide migration advice.
  • VisaCapAlert does not guarantee a visa outcome.

Mongolia cap alerts — frequently asked questions

What is Mongolia's annual Work and Holiday visa cap?

Mongolia has an annual limit on the number of first Work and Holiday (subclass 462) visas Australia may grant to Mongolian passport holders. The current published figure is shown in the cap status panel on this page, taken directly from the official Department of Home Affairs country-cap page so it stays correct if the official figure changes.

What does PAUSED mean for Mongolian applicants?

PAUSED means new applications from Mongolian passport holders are temporarily unavailable. A paused cap may return to OPEN later in the same program year, though that is not guaranteed. We monitor the published status and notify you when we detect that it has changed.

Will VisaCapAlert notify me when Mongolia opens?

We check Mongolia's published cap status every minute and email your confirmed address as soon as we detect that the status has changed. After payment you can also add and verify a phone number for an optional WhatsApp message. What we cannot do is tell you in advance whether or when Mongolia will open — that is decided by the official process and we learn of it when it is published.

What happens if Mongolia changes to CLOSED?

A CLOSED status means the cap will not reopen during the current program year. If Mongolia changes to CLOSED while your alert is active, we notify you of that status change too — knowing where you stand is the point of the alert. Cap statuses reset for the new program year on 1 July.

What if Mongolia does not open at all?

That is a real possibility and we will not pretend otherwise: a paused cap may stay paused, or close. Your alert stays active for the monitoring period you paid for and notifies you if and when the published status changes. Because monitoring begins the moment you pay, the payment is not refundable on the basis that the status never changed — if you are unsure, that is worth weighing before you buy.

Can I pay in Mongolian tögrög?

Yes. The Mongolia alert is priced in Mongolian tögrög by default and charged by card. If your card declines a tögrög charge, switch to Australian dollars on the payment summary — the service and coverage are identical.

Why does this page say "opens" rather than "reopens"?

"Reopens" would imply the cap has already been open at some point in the current program period. Where that is not the case we say "opens" instead, so the wording matches the situation. What we monitor is unchanged: a change in the published status.

Mongolia is far from Australia in time. Does that delay my alert?

No. Our checks run every minute, around the clock, from Australian infrastructure, and the email is sent as soon as we detect a change — your timezone plays no part in it. It only affects what time of day the message arrives, which is a good reason to add WhatsApp after payment.

Is VisaCapAlert.com official?

VisaCapAlert.com is an independent notification service. We help users stay informed about visa cap status changes, but we are not affiliated with the Australian Government or the Department of Home Affairs.

Is VisaCapAlert an Australian business?

Yes. VisaCapAlert.com is operated in Australia by WONDRATECH PTY LTD under the registered business name Status Alert Technologies. Our Australian Business Number is 51 633 863 966, which you can verify through the Australian Government’s ABN Lookup service.

Do you provide migration services?

We provide status alerts only. We don’t sell migration services, make sales calls or submit visa applications.

Where does the status information come from?

We monitor the official Home Affairs country-cap status page. That government page can be delayed by up to 48 hours, so alerts reflect when a status change is published, not necessarily when the underlying decision was made.

Does this submit my visa application?

VisaCapAlert.com focuses on monitoring and notifications only. When we detect a relevant status change for your selected country, we send an alert to the email address you provided — and, on Premium, to WhatsApp if you opted in. You remain responsible for checking your eligibility and submitting any visa application yourself.

Does this guarantee I will get a visa spot?

Spots are limited and first come, first served, and we can’t hold or reserve one for you. What we do is alert you when your country reopens according to the official Home Affairs page, so you can lodge as quickly as possible. Visa availability, eligibility, application outcomes, and approvals are controlled by the official visa process.

Why do I need an alert if I can just check the page myself?

You can watch the official Home Affairs page yourself. But caps are small and first come, first served, so when a paused country reopens the remaining spots can be gone quickly. An alert means you hear about the status page change promptly and can focus on lodging your application, rather than keeping an eye on the status page yourself.

Do you still offer a free option?

Free alerts are no longer available for new registrations. Existing Free alerts remain active under their current conditions until 30 June 2027 AEST, with no payment required.

New users can choose Premium monitoring with either a one-time payment or a monthly payment option. Both Premium options include every-minute checks, email alerts and optional WhatsApp notifications.

I already have a Free alert. Is it still active?

Yes. Existing Free alerts remain active under their existing conditions until 30 June 2027 AEST. Free alerts are no longer available for new registrations.

How will I be notified?

By email. We check the official status page every minute, so we can alert you within minutes of a change being published. We can also alert you on WhatsApp if you add and verify a phone number after payment.

What happens after I sign up?

You confirm your email with a code and complete payment — a one-time ₮17,900, or the monthly option starting at ₮2,500 — and your alert is active straight away. After payment you can also add a phone number to be notified by WhatsApp. We then watch your selected country's cap and notify you when its published status changes.

How do the two payment options differ?

Only in how you pay — the service is identical. One-time is a single ₮17,900 payment with no recurring charges. Monthly is ₮2,500 for the first month, then ₮10,000/mo for two more months: no more than 3 payments, and no more than ₮22,500 in total.

Both options include every-minute checks, email alerts and optional WhatsApp notifications, and both stay active until 30 June 2027 AEST.

You can cancel the monthly option anytime by emailing support@visacapalert.com; no future payments are processed after cancellation, months already charged aren't refunded, and monitoring stops at that point. If a monthly payment fails, you have 7 days to update your card before the alert is cancelled.

On 1 July AEST, visa cap statuses reset, so you'll need to register again to keep tracking a country in the new cap period.

Can I monitor more than one country?

Yes. Each alert is created for one selected country. To monitor another country, simply create a separate alert for that country.

What if the country never reopens?

A paused cap may reopen later in the same program year, but this isn’t guaranteed, and it can also close. Your alert stays active for your selected country during the current period, and we email you if and when its status changes. The timing of any reopening is controlled by the official visa cap process.

Can I get a refund?

Our every-minute monitoring kicks in the moment you pay, so refunds generally aren’t available once it’s live. If you chose the monthly option, months you’ve already been charged for aren’t refunded, but you can cancel anytime by emailing support to stop any future payments. If something went wrong with your payment or setup, just reach out to support and we’ll happily take a look.
