Independent Work & Holiday visa (subclass 462) cap alerts
Get alerted when your Work and Holiday visa cap reopens
First Work and Holiday visa places can be very limited. Some countries have only a few hundred annual places, and demand can move much faster than the official status page feels.
When a country is PAUSED, applications are temporarily not open for that country. If it changes back to OPEN, you may need to move quickly before other applicants get ahead of you.
VisaCapAlert.com monitors your selected country cap and emails you when we detect that its status has changed from PAUSED, helping you act sooner without refreshing the page all the time.
- We monitor your selected country's cap status
- Get an email alert when your country reopens
- Know sooner, so you can apply without delay
Independent alert service. No visa advice.
Pay once, or monthly — cancel anytime.
Spots are strictly limited and fill fast. We email you when your country reopens so you can apply promptly if you’re eligible.

How it works
Choose your country
Select the country whose cap you're waiting on.
Create your alert
Register free for two checks a day, or go Premium and we check every single minute — pay once, or monthly while you wait. Just enter your email to start.
Get notified and act quickly
When we detect your country has reopened, we notify you by email — plus an instant WhatsApp message if you’re on Premium — so you can act quickly before places fill.
We monitor the official Home Affairs country-cap status page. That government page can be delayed by up to 48 hours, so alerts reflect when a status change is published — not necessarily when the underlying decision was made.

Why we built VisaCapAlert
We’re a Brazilian couple who moved to Australia more than 10 years ago. When friends and family began waiting for their country’s Work and Holiday visa cap to reopen, we saw how frustrating it was to keep checking the government website and worrying about missing an update.
Combining our backgrounds in software engineering and business administration, we created VisaCapAlert to monitor published cap status changes and notify people promptly when their selected country’s status changes.
VisaCapAlert is an independent Australian service. We do not provide migration advice or submit visa applications.
VisaCapAlert.com is operated by WONDRATECH PTY LTD under the registered business name Status Alert Technologies. Australian Business Number: 51 633 863 966.

Frequently asked questions
VisaCapAlert.com is an independent notification service. We help users stay informed about visa cap status changes, but we are not affiliated with the Australian Government or the Department of Home Affairs.
Yes. VisaCapAlert.com is operated in Australia by WONDRATECH PTY LTD under the registered business name Status Alert Technologies. Our Australian Business Number is 51 633 863 966, which you can verify through the Australian Government’s ABN Lookup service.
We provide status alerts only. We don’t sell migration services, make sales calls or submit visa applications.
We monitor the official Home Affairs country-cap status page. That government page can be delayed by up to 48 hours, so alerts reflect when a status change is published, not necessarily when the underlying decision was made.
VisaCapAlert.com focuses on monitoring and notifications only. When we detect a relevant status change for your selected country, we send an alert to the email address you provided — and, on Premium, to WhatsApp if you opted in. You remain responsible for checking your eligibility and submitting any visa application yourself.
Spots are limited and first come, first served, and we can’t hold or reserve one for you. What we do is alert you when your country reopens according to the official Home Affairs page, so you can lodge as quickly as possible. Visa availability, eligibility, application outcomes, and approvals are controlled by the official visa process.
You can watch the official Home Affairs page yourself. But caps are small and first come, first served, so when a paused country reopens the remaining spots can be gone quickly. An alert means you hear about the status page change promptly and can focus on lodging your application, rather than keeping an eye on the status page yourself.
Yes. The free plan sends email alerts for one country at no cost and with no payment details — in the free tier we check the official status page twice a day. Premium (a one-time $9.90 AUD, or pay monthly while you wait) upgrades you to every-minute checks and an optional WhatsApp alert.
By email on every plan. Free alerts are batched from twice-daily checks (around 8am and 8pm AEST), so they can lag the actual status page change by a few hours. Premium checks every minute and can also alert you on WhatsApp if you add and verify a phone number.
A free alert is active straight away — no payment and no verification. For Premium, you confirm your email with a code and pay the one-time $9.90 AUD fee (or choose Pay monthly while you wait), then your alert is active — after payment you can also add a phone number to be notified by WhatsApp if you wish. Either way, we watch your selected country’s cap and notify you when its status changes from paused, so you can lodge without delay.
Premium comes two ways: a one-time $9.90 AUD payment, or "Pay monthly while you wait" — a smaller monthly amount, capped at 3 payments total. Free alerts always cost nothing.
The monthly plan ends automatically after your first reopening alert or 30 June 2027 AEST (whichever comes first), then simply continues as a free alert — and you can cancel anytime by emailing support@visacapalert.com, after which no future monthly payments are processed (months already charged aren’t refunded). The one-time plan has no recurring charges and stays active until 30 June 2027 AEST.
On 1 July AEST, visa cap statuses reset, so you’ll need to register again if you want to keep tracking a country in the new cap period.
Yes. Each alert is created for one selected country. To monitor another country, simply create a separate alert for that country.
A paused cap may reopen later in the same program year, but this isn’t guaranteed, and it can also close. Your alert stays active for your selected country during the current period, and we email you if and when its status changes. The timing of any reopening is controlled by the official visa cap process.
Free alerts are never charged, so there’s nothing to refund. For Premium, our every-minute monitoring kicks in the moment you pay, so refunds generally aren’t available once it’s live. If you’re on the “Pay monthly while you wait” plan, months you’ve already been charged for aren’t refunded, but you can cancel anytime by emailing support to stop any future monthly payments. If something went wrong with your payment or setup, just reach out to support and we’ll happily take a look.
